The Norwegian Casings Export department has as its main task to ensure the profitable sale of Norwegian casings via export to relevant markets.

Currently, only sheep casings are processed and two grades are available:

• Original sheep casings, cleaned from fresh material.
• Original sheep casings, cleaned from salted material.

Sheep casings are sent fresh or salted from the slaughterhouses to the cleaning plant at Nortura Forus where the casings are cleaned, salted and packed in barrels ready for export.
